Tonight in our LIVE Workshop we are going to learn how to Magnify your Purpose!
I'm not going to give away all the awesome things we'll discuss tonight, but I did want to share an insight I had while preparing my notes...
"Your Purpose" is really another way to say "your WHY." Y'all know I'm always talking about the importance of finding your WHY, and we'll spend some more time tonight understanding why that's so important :)
Your WHY is a combination of the Problem you care passionately about and your UNIQUE way of solving that problem. One part of our uniqueness that we often forget is that there are things in life that we find fun/interesting/worthwhile that other people find totally boring.
We forget about these things because they are such a part of who we are, and we don't really understand why people don't enjoy them as much as we do. If we can simply realize what these things are, we have found our Super Powers. A source of strength that others don't have.
For me this is a love of THINKING- ALL THE TIME!
I am always happy when I am inside my head trying to make sense of the world around me. Even better is the chance to have a deep and meaningful conversation with someone else and put our two heads together to solve life's riddles even faster.
This Uniqueness allows me to keep learning every day. It helps me continually grow and evolve.
It also has a potential downside.... My NEED to continue learning makes it hard for me to keep doing the same thing the same way for very long. I need to feel I'm moving forward.
If I don't have BIG things to think about, I'll think about small things, creating mountains out of mole hills, inducing worry and stress, reinforcing impatience, and causing discontent.
In other words, my Biggest Strength can also be my Biggest Weakness. This is true of all of us. It means we need to be using our strengths for our own good. It also means things we think of as Weakness MAY be a Strength in disguise!
I have learned to manage my Need for Knowledge by going DEEPER into something before I flutter on to the next thing. I've learned that DETAIL is my friend if I treat it as just as interesting and exciting as any new discovery.
I've also learned to write down all my insights so I can come back later and see them with fresh eyes, rather than just leaving them behind once I've lost the initial interest.
SO WHAT IS YOUR THING?
What are your strengths and what are your weaknesses that make you so unique?
If you want to get ahead of the curve, go ahead and write down a list of strengths and weaknesses before tonight's workshop. And don't forget to look for those hidden strengths among your weaknesses!
If you haven't RSVP'd for the workshop yet, head here, so I know you'll be joining us at Facebook.com/lulamayessentials at 9PM Eastern.
See y'all tonight!
